Government lawyer disbarred after espionage conviction should not be reinstated, DC ethics board says

A former government prosecutor who was removed After being convicted of espionage, her license to practice law in Washington should not be reinstated, an ethics committee has said.

Former Department of Defense lawyer Theresa Squillacote was convicted in 1998 of attempted espionage and spent 20 years in prison. Earlier this year, she petitioned the DC Board on Professional Responsibility to reinstate her license.
